This dude is wayyyy too obsessed with being cool and wayyy too picky about everything. You know what you're getting with a Toyota! Its all about the reliability and low cost of ownership. But not at any major expense (still looks good, still pretty comfortable, quiet, decent performance, and features). The 7th gen Camry's are the nicest looking ones which is a plus, the most reliable, and the "basic" look of it is actually a selling point IMO. Its not soo wavy and curvy to the point where it looks ridiculous, but its not so hideous or like a grandma car either. Middle of the pack in everything except reliability, and thats where it stands out. Also, the SE model may not be exactly a race car, but its something to whip around and be slightly zippy in and out of traffic. Not so small that its uncomfortable like a Corolla, so its a great daily driver and can be a long trip driver -- but no so big like a boat luxury car where you get all that body roll and you're anxious about cutting in and out of lanes because the dimensions of the car are so big. I like the light cars like this because less wear on the brakes, transmission, and motor. I cringed every time I would brake in my Chrysler 300 because it was like stopping a freight train. Thousands of pounds of extra weight for no reason eating up my gas mileage and brake pads, for just me driving in it is was WAYY too heavy. I don't need a tank to commute daily. This generation Camry checks almost all the boxes I need for a car + reliability and without the expenses of repairs, big monthly payment, insurance, etc...

I have a 20223 WRX base. Have it for 16months 5k miles. First day I did a muffler delete and window tint. I've had a Perrin cold air intake for 6 months with no time. No issues. Now it's Cobb stage one time and it's been a month. Still no issues. The only issue I have, and I've had this since the day I bought the car. From day one. My streets are a little bumpy. Not necessarily potholes but very bumpy, and the throttle is very sensitive. So if I'm in first gear taking off, and as I go into the intersection hit a couple of bumps, your foot taps on the gas because of the natural bouncing. And the car just wants to lurch forward. It's really annoying. I thought the tune would fix that, it didn't. I just have to live with it, or try to shift out of first almost immediately to stop it from happening. I don't know if anybody else has that issue.

My 'mechanical' minded friend took a look at my car and said I didn't need my brakes replaced, they are 'fine'; just some surface rust. I don't know much about cars; this is my first one so I'm just learning everything by watching videos or reading forums. Before even watching this video I just felt that the fact the rotors had a lip on them meant that either something was wrong or the rotors were worn. Now I know for sure. Time to spend 2 hours trying to crack 12 year rusted on bolts!

No rumble, no aftermarket exhaust, intake, downpipe, blow off valve. Just stuck with what it is a battery car! No thanks I’ll stick with my WRX

Looking into a 2019 wrx limited from Carmax in Cali for 24k with 55k miles. I know, cali prices are high. But clean title, one owner only thing it has no service records 🫤. Should i consider it? I was gonna take it to sneak it to subie dealer to go through it while i test drive lol

Add fbo, spends 5k plus just for extra horsepower. Doesnt last. Stock intake is good to 3-400 hp. Sometimes l wished l kept it stock. People gotta realize you gotta have money to play. Have a reputable tuner. Make sure your cars paid off before anything lol. But l guess l understand , because race car. Lol

Subaru cannot or did not see the JB4 on my Blown CVT 2022 OBW, ....it was installed by good guys with limited knowledge, my fault not theirs....Subaru replaced my CVT @$12k!! ... however, they made me return my OBW to stock, removed Ironman lift and re-installed OEM Tires, not my 245/60/18 (all back on BTW!)......gonna try again with shop with ALOT of experience in NJ, ..OOOH it was soo fast (for 3 months, was over 300hp, probably 310-330 HP estimate, wouldn't go over 290 next time....

You can get around it. Subaru let's you pick where you get your car serviced. So the service provider ( tuner ) takes on the engine warranty.

Dude, no one is paying over MSRP on any WRX. As said below, the TS replaces the TR which already sells below its $42k MSRP and the TS should be priced somewhere around the GT. Next year interest rates and inflation should be higher than now which will still impact new car purchases. This isnt even close to an RA either. That was an STI more hand built for the most part. I think you are way off on your $50k MSRP guess

I'm kinda freaking now. Just got my first subaru that has a cobb access port. It's a 2015 sti with a cobb intake and Nvidia exhaust. Plugged in the cobb access port and my advance m is reading 0.00 while running. I take it that's bad? The car seems to be running excellent, but I'm brand new to these cars and tunes. I only see a cobb stage 1 tune on there. Should I be worried? I keep seeing people say advance should read 1😬 any info would be greatly appreciated

IMO the ugliest OEM mod, the rain guards being a close 2nd. They both just look tacky and cheapen the look of the car to me.

It had been 20 years since I drove a manual before buying my 2022 WRX. Transmission feels good to me. I agree that it is not user error .. might be a warranty issue .. I suggest you push dealership to fix it

I recently bought a 2015 WRX and I love it. It's not modified nor do I plan to change it. I always loved the looks and sound of this platform. I enjoy your videos and reading what the more spirited crowd prefers.

Hell yes its worth the money, every penny i paid 28.6k was worth it. Another 2k for Cobb AP and ETS intake + 3 fuel tunes, and its been a blast rolling around in 400/470 car. Surprised alot of V8s out there. Thats a whole 50/120 over my VA.

The rising cost of these cars tracks with inflation, the cars are selling which tracks with demand and Subarus understanding of its consumer base, and the VB beats out STIs in many ways thus negating the need to implement a less efficient, slightly more powerful edition. What I'd love to see is a 'kit edition' where you pay slightly more for a forgiving warranty that allows you to install mods via Subaru approved mechanics. Subaru could make a lot of money if it linked up with a major mod vendor and installed/warrantied a wider range of aftermarket performance and cosmetic mods. Your opinion is obviously subjective, but you contradict yourself several times in this video while you push the narrative that Subaru is out of touch with its consumers when, in reality, they are just out of touch with you. Or you them...

For a guy that "loves" the wrx you sure are overly negative about it. The tS has adaptive suspension, brembos, digital gauges, and Si-Drive. Subaru has also said that this will replace the TR which is $42K, but often sells for under msrp. If the tS is close to the TR pricing then sign me up

I think TS will become new flag ship trim over the GT and slotted 800-1000 over the GT. All my opinion, I am going to say when WRX gets a face lift maybe in 2026, Limited and GT will gain the digital gauge. Because as of now there is not enough difference between the Premium and the Limited for the cost difference.

sorry this is my first WRX (2023) and didnt do a history lesson here - is this normal for WRX - I describe the WRX like a PlayStation or Xbox - they keep coming out with new version which is much like the original but with one little difference (PS4 vs PS4 pro). Seems like a cash grab and nothing else - was this always the case?

A few things: 1) the TS won't have paint matched cladding (kinda sounded like you were alluding to that). 2) you can't really compare the ra to this release. The ra was an STI, and it was hand built by a special team at Subaru. This car is largely a cocktail mix of the GT and the TR, aside from the stitching on the seats and the gauge cluster.... Which leads me to point# 3) that weird thing at the end about somebody wrecking their new car so you can buy the gauge cluster..... 🫠😅 4) I see you lost some weight, congrats
